HOW IT WORKS

What Are "Bank Claims"?

There are 339 financial institutions in the UK that have breached the Direct Debit Scheme rules and regulations, causing financial harm to businesses like yours. These breaches fall under the Direct Debit Guarantee, and we can recover funds based on the following key reasons:


  1. Non-Cancellation of Direct Debit Mandates after dormancy period
  2. Unauthorised Setup of Mandates due to breaches in the validation process
  3. Unauthorised Signatories on Mandates not registered with the bank account


Any one of these reasons can form the basis of a legitimate claim, which must be framed correctly and for the exact total amount. Claims must be processed and paid within 14 days of issuance.

No Competition

We are the only firm in the UK that can process these claims, and to maintain this exclusivity, we require clients to sign the following documents once we have evaluated your claim and you are comfortable proceeding:


  • Terms of Business (we charge 30% + VAT of the recovery)
  • Letter of Authority (LOA) for both the Bank and us
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and Non-Compete Agreement


These will only need to be signed after we have assessed your potential claim, and you are ready to move forward.

Added Protection for Your Funds

To provide additional security, all recovered funds are paid into a law firm’s client account, protected by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The law firm will act as the administrator of the funds, ensuring that both you and we receive the correct amounts. The solicitor we work with is ranked in the top 2% globally for their high standards and impeccable reputation.


  • The Bank or Building Society will transfer the funds to the law firm within 14 days
  • The Law Firm will then pay you 64% of the recovery
  • The Law Firm will retain their fees
  • We will receive the remainder


You will not be responsible for the law firm’s fees; this cost is covered by the 30% fee.

Next Steps

In order to calculate and evaluate your claim, we will need the following documents:


  • A copy of the Energy Contract and Mandate you signed at the time
  • A copy of your Bank Statements showing the payments made, or:
  • Alternatively, if you can filter the payments through your online banking, that would also work
  • A spreadsheet listing all payments made (including the Mandate Reference Number), either from your accounting software or prepared by you or your accountant


This information is required to ensure the mandate wasn’t cancelled during the contract period. If it was, the mandate reference number will change, and we can only claim the payments under the original mandate. All payments must match exactly to the penny, or the bank will reject the claim.
